Taking CARE of business on Cape Cod the Christian way!

c Christianity- Our number one purpose is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.  That being the case, the central purpose of this site is for us to have fellowship as Christians with a common bond.  The common beliefs and values that we have give us a great foundation for fellowship and for working with one another.  This fellowship will lead to relationships that grow over time. As we grow in unity and fellowship, God is glorified.

What we are not interested in is becoming people who only do business with other Evangelical Christians.  We are interested in being able to help each other to grow our businesses based on our common goal: to glorify the Father.  Being that we agree to do business the way we see in Ephesians 6:5 (Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; 6 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, 8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free), we can be comfortable working together , sending work to one another, and being advertised together.  Also, in these difficult financial times, we see the importance of fellowship, prayer, and helping one another.

These things being the case, we are looking at membership of this site being something where we can get together based on the things that we agree upon.  As it was said long ago, "In the essentials, unity, in non-essentials, liberty, and in all things, charity".   The following is an outline of the beliefs we should have in common:

A.  WE BELIEVE that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.
B.  WE BELIEVE that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.
C.  WE BELIEVE in God The Father, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, knowledge, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
D.  WE BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and His personal, visible return to earth.
E.  WE BELIEVE in the person of the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide.
F.  WE BELIEVE that all people are sinners by nature and choice and therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit, those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit, empowering them for service.
G.  WE BELIEVE in the universal Church, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.
H.  WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: 1) water baptism, and 2) the Lord's Supper.
I.  WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and the endless suffering of the wicked.
K.  WE BELIEVE in what is termed "The Apostle's Creed" as embodying fundamental facts of the Christian faith.

Being that we agree on these things, we are free to disagree on others and still have fellowship.  We should not divide over eschatology, soteriology, or style of worship.  We have enough in common in the essentials to have liberty in these non-essentials.

Fellowship is important, so we will have in place www.capecodchristian.net , a blog for discussing things with one another as a group of Christians.  We can share prayer needs, testimonies, needs (like equipment we want to purchse, or help wanted), etc.  Again, our common Christian beliefs will be the basis of this fellowship.
A Accountability- How often have you worried about referring work to somebody because you were not sure they would show up, do the work, keep their word, or just plain make you look bad?  This fellowship of business people will be willing to be held accountable so that we can be comfortable referring work to one another, or being advertised on the same site with the others here.  We will use Matthew 18 to help consumers and providers to settle differences so that fellowship will be maintained and God will be glorified.  Click here for details.
R Relationships-Quartlerly get-togethers, blogs, and coffee-break style meetings will help us get to know one another as Christians who are in business on Cape Cod.  We can bear one-another's burdens, support one another, and learn about each others' businesses. Relationships lead to referrals. People buy things and obtain services from people they like and trust.  People refer people they know or at least know about.  As we build relationships, we will also build our businesses. E Evangelism- We desire to spread the love of Christ, first and foremost.  The Great Commision is serious business.  Being decent, honest, Christian business people is the best witness that we can have. Being charitable and helpful are goals that we should always keep in the forefront. CapeCodChristian.com is going to excel in giving. A page for organizations that we support, a scholarship fund to equip saints for ministry, and more are in the works! Click here for details.
